Hello, my name is Marcela Chirinos. I am a textile artist from Mexico City I search  the ancient art of Batik, I myself investigating  the traditional techniques, the specific dyes,waxes and tools used for the centuries in the Batik Tulis art from Indonesia,I have been working with Batik since 1984.  In addition of my production, I have been teaching Batik at my own workshop place, Taller Centenario Coyoacan, and most reciently at the Iberoamericana University.  I attended the "World Batik Conference Boston 2005" It was a very nice opportunity to meet Batik Artist from all over the world,   In addition of the Batik Tulis I have been stodied  Batik from Africa and Rozome from Japan.
